Like a magical fortune teller looking into a crystal ball, you too will shortly see the mystical past, present and future of Mushpot Records.
PAST
Mushpot Records was inspired by the Mushpot weekly radio show on KDVS 90.3FM in Davis, CA. The first Mushpot Children’s compilation was born and Mushpot began to produce music by Northern California artists. Mushpot Records currently operates out of Brooklyn, NY and sometimes Ft. Worth, TX.
PRESENT
Mushpot Records has always provided in house publicity for its roster of artists but we are happy to announce Mushpot, an expanded publicity department, that will focus primarily on college radio promotion for non-label musicians. The new venture will be marked by a momentous launch party at Enid’s. The party will start bumping on 6/23 at 9:00 PM with Mushpot DJs (DJ Prom Night, Sheila the Great and Si Vous Playa) spinning upcoming releases, drink specials and plenty of surprises.
FUTURE
Monday, June 22 both Magic Magic’s self-titled LP and Buildings Breeding Colors Bent to Seasons EP will go for Top 200 adds at college radio. To talk more about the first ever Mushpot adds and other upcoming releases contact either Jen Marmor (marmor@mushpotrecords.com) or Liz Deichmann (liz@mushpotrecords.com) in the college radio department. You’ll be hearing plenty more from Mushpot in the next few months with upcoming releases going for adds and events so brace yourself for 1.21 gigawatts of power. TO BE CONTINUED >>>
